Requirements:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred

Job Title: Real Estate Accountant
Location: Harlem, NY
Job Summary:
HCCI is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reconciling financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements for our real estate investments and developments.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
3+ years of experience in accounting or a related field
Knowledge of real estate accounting principles, including revenue recognition and joint ventures
Familiarity with accounting software, including general ledger and financial reporting systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with real estate development, investment, or construction accounting
Knowledge of real estate tax laws and regulations
Familiarity with accounting standards, including GAAP
Certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus

Job Title: Legal Coordinator - Property & Court Compliance
Location: Harlem, NY
Salary Range: $55,000 - $68,000

Description:
HCCI is seeking a Legal Coordinator – Property & Court Compliance to support and strengthen legal oversight across our real estate portfolio.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in Housing Court, HPD violations, property compliance, or legal coordination, who is comfortable working across multiple systems and partners while ensuring leadership is informed of all material legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track, attend, and monitor Housing Court and other property-related legal proceedings
• Maintain detailed logs of court appearances, stipulations, deadlines, and outcomes
• Monitor and track HPD violations, certifications, and removals
• Ensure compliance with court orders, stipulations, and settlement agreements
• Work directly with third-party property managers and co-managing partners (including Exact, NCV, Pillar, and others) to ensure accurate implementation of court and compliance actions
• Access and review PMC systems (read-only/reporting) and manage internal tracking dashboards to confirm stipulations, ledgers, and compliance accuracy
• Coordinate with internal and external collections teams regarding rent collection resources, payment plans, defaults, and appropriate legal escalation
• Serve as an authorized contact for Service of Process, property counsel coordination, and court communications
• Prepare compliance and court status reports for senior leadership
