Melba's  is giving away 200 turkeys, from 10am to 12noon at Melba's Restaurant, 300 W 114th St, New York, NY 10026.   The giveaway is on a first-come basis.

The Harlem YMCA is also distributing turkeys from their building on 135th Street. Those interested in receiving one can visit the YMCA and sign up. The giveaway will be Nov. 24 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On Sunday, the restaurant BTH on 712 W. 125th St. will be giving away about 100 turkeys on a first-come-first serve basis starting at noon.  Other organizations are not giving away turkeys but they are hosting Thanksgiving dinners or charitable events.

On Thanksgiving, Gobble Gobble NYC is creating a large “conveyer belt” to prepare meals that will be delivered throughout the city to families, shelters, retirement communities and more. You can RSVP through their website.
