HCCI Hosts the Harlem Home Expo: A Seminar on Homebuying in Harlem

New York, NY – On Saturday October 3, more than 150 people attended Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement’s Harlem Home Expo onSaturday, October 3 at the Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building.

“The Home Expo was a great way for us to convene all of the players in the homebuying process. The expo gave homebuyers the opportunity to interact with a multitude of lenders, and immediately compare their offerings,” said Dr. Charles Butler, Vice President of Equitable Development. “This one-day event was a wonderful introduction to information we provide in our more extensive four-week training, offered Thursdays at the Muriel Petioni Plaza on 146th Street.

Held in partnership with Harlem Community Development Corporation, the NY Mortgage Coalition and Housing Action Council also lent their support along with the following participating banks and lenders: Bank of America, Chase, Citi, M&T Bank, Quontic Bank, Santander, Valley National, Amalgamated Bank, Corcoran Group Real Estate, Halstead Property, NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, NYS Homes and Community Renewal, NYS Office of the Attorney General, and Warburg Realty.
