MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION

Welcome!

We welcome you to be a part of the Bradhurst Merchant’s Association (BMA) where our goals are to promote local businesses and to unite around issues of common concern such as Sanitation, Safety, Quality of Life and the growth of our local businesses.

BMA grew out of a collaboration between Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement, Inc. (HCCI), Harlem Community Development Corporation (HCDC) and the New York City Department of Small Business Services. These entities joined to implement a new initiative called “Avenue NYC” to attract a mixture of new commercial businesses and new consumers to the area known as Bradhurst, placing special focus on Frederick Douglass Boulevard (8th Avenue) between 144th and 163rd Street, 145th Street between Malcolm X Boulevard (Lenox Avenue) and St. Nicholas Avenue and 155th Street from Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard (7th Avenue) to Bradhurst Avenue.

Your input in this initiative and your experience will be invaluable and we truly want you to be a part of it!
