HCCI Computer Clubhouse

The HCCI Computer Clubhouse is an award winning after school program created by the M.I.T. Media Lab and the Boston Museum of Science and is one of 100 similar Computer Clubhouses spread throughout the world. Its basic premise, “learning through design,” is pursued by making industry standard, multi-media tools accessible to the young people in the Clubhouse’s community. A combination of staff and related media professionals working as mentors provide guidance and encouragement to young people who wish to express themselves creatively with digital photography, graphic design, robotics, music production, illustration, video, website production, etc.

Young people who spend time in the Computer Clubhouse acquire an exceptional familiarity with many professional software programs that will not only serve them in their future educational and professional needs, but also facilitate their overall use and mastery of technology and complex problem solving.
